About Us

The Boys & Girls Clubs of East Los Angeles has served over 50,000 youth since it was founded in 1950.  Your support provides character development programs on a daily basis conducted by professional staff for children 5-18 years old. Without your help we risk substantial cuts to our leadership development, education & career exploration, financial literacy, health & life skills, arts, sports, fitness & recreation as well as family engagement & empowerment programs.

Our “Smart Ride” program picks up over 200 students from 42 local schools such as Fourth Street Elementary, Farmdale Elementary, Belvedere, Stevenson and El Sereno Middle School, daily. Our vans, which were generously donated by Toyota Financial Services last year, transport students to the club. Additionally, for the third year in a row, we are proud to provide scholarships for over 70 of our teens, alumni and staff going on to higher education.

Help us make these kids’ dreams a reality. Donate today.

Where Are They Now?

Today a successful blues/rock band, The Delgado Brothers (Bob, Joe & Steve) continue to support Boys & Girls Clubs of East L.A. activities. Click Here to watch them perform during a show in December 2009 where they raffled a guitar of which the proceeds benefited the Boys & Girls Club. To hear their music, you may also visit them online at www.Delgadobrothers.com.
