Back to School TFS Challenge

Your donation of $20, $50, $100 or more will be matched up to $50,000 by Toyota Financial Services. Your contribution goes toward funding the after school programs that provide academic support, character-building and reniforce the Boys & Girls Club's 6 core tenets.

Project MENTOR

Since 2007, the Boys & Girls Clubs of East Los Angeles has seen 100% of its members graduate from high school. Only $1,000 sponsors a child through Project MENTOR (Meeting Each Need To Optimize Results.) Project MENTOR is a 5-year plan that starts in middle school and guides members through their high school years, preparing them for higher education.  It provides them and their families with the personal and academic support they need along with the goal setting and skill builing programs that will place them on the path toward higher learning.

Individual Level: $1,000   Cheerleader Level: $5,000   MENTOR Level: $10,000

October 16 - Citadel Shopping Extravaganza -

Join the fun at one of the year's most exciting fundraising events - the 5th Annual Citadel Shopping Extravaganza.  Ticket holders receive exclusive discounts, a goodie bag, a chance to win over $40,000 in raffle prizes, wine tasting, lunch and more. Tickets are $20.00 and 100% of the proceeds from ticket sales go back to the Boys & Girls Clubs of East Los Angeles. Call (323) 263-4955 and ask for Anna to reserve your tickets.

Basketball Fan Challenge

Boys & Girls Clubs of America Alumni Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, Magic Johnson, AC Green and Michael Cooper challenged Laker Fans to outdo Boston Fans in support of the Boys & Girls Clubs Los Angeles Alliance.  Thanks to everyone who participated.

ACTIVITIES extend through April 1st!

Arts Day with TFS CEO George Borst - Monday, 3/22 - Professional artist Sonia Romero will lead children & volunteers in a special painting activity about reaching goals and dreams.

Money Day for Club Kids - Tuesday 3/23 - Members participate in a presentation on the value of saving money by community partner "It's A Habit." Volunteers help children with finance activities.

Eco Day - Thursday, 3/25 - Members explore nature through presentations, displays and exhibits by local community partners including the SEA LAB and STAR Eco Station.

Reading Day with TS Sr. VP Dave Pelliccioni - Monday 3/29 - After a presentation for members ages 5-8, volunteers will read to the children in reading circles.

Money Day for Club Teens at JA Finance Park - Tuesday 3/30 - Teens will learn how to balance a budget in Junior Achievement's signature Finance Park "Adult-for-a-day" simulation.

Photography Showcase - Thursday 4/1 - Open to all Club Members, the photo exhibition will be judged by a distinguished panel of local experts. Winning photos will compete in the regional ImageMakers Photography Contest.

Thanks for making this year's Thanksgiving Fiesta a success! Through your efforts we fed over 1,100 children and their families during one of the most difficult economic downturns our community has experienced. Thanks to Shopzilla.com and one of our parents, who is a County Fireman, for donating food and produce which was bagged and given away to families. THANK YOU!!!  You blessed our families.  It was wonderful to see them leaving with their arms full.
